He’s not going to make you go to church.

And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further. But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. ~ Luke 24:27-29

Did you know that Jesus doesn’t make you go to church? That’s your decision. You can worship him a couple times a year or every hour of every day of the year. The choice is yours.

If you want to know more about him, he will gladly tell you (Mat 7:7,8). But if you don’t want to be with him, he’s not going to hang around waiting for you to listen (Mat 10:14).

The choice is yours (John 3:16).

Sure…you don’t need to be in a church to worship the Lord. But why then did his apostles tell us to come together and to not forsake it (Heb 10:25)?  Why did he give us pastors and teachers and the other leadership positions for the building up of the church (Eph 4:11-16)?

So, you see, you don’t have to go to church, but it sure does demonstrate who you really are. (I’m sure that one stun a little.)

You say you want to follow him, but do you do what he says?

He said if you love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15-31), but if you pick and choose which ones to follow, doesn’t that mean you don’t really love him?

I’m not saying you have to come to Family Bible Church to worship the Lord, but he sure does want you to go somewhere and be with like minded Christians.

It’s your choice. Hopefully, you will choose to go to church.

If you want to come here, we would love to have you.

God Bless
